we strive for

equality & progress

Since its inception in 1995, SEEDS has been

working towards sustainable change for the marginalised communities

Journey over the years

Convinced that given an opportunity even the most deprived communities could utilize their inherent capacities to achieve and sustain a better quality of life, nine socially conscious citizens put their hearts and mind together in late 1995 to conceive SEEDS. Two and half decades later, with many more team members, volunteers, supporters, credibility, we celebrate the bold flourishes and perceptible change that this Organization has made in the lives of the marginalized communities with whom we work to create sustainable change. We utilize our knowledge and experience for enhancing their skills and values.

Our Focus Areas

Congratulations to your team – it is amazing how fast they managed to be at the side of the people during COVID and that SEEDS has taken so well care to protect their staff and also the people you come in contact with.

Sustaining Local Arts

Kurumutu handicrafts

SEEDS trains them and facilitates quality check and distribution of the products created by the tribal youth and women. We also promote the elderly artisans to continue with their traditional crafts. The Kurumutu brand showcases the unique creations of the tribal people such as organic materials, incense sticks with natural fragrance and gift items made of paper, cloth, bamboo, various leaves and fibres.

Skilling Content

Publications

Throughout the year SEEDS aspires to be catering to the training content needs of the community and other partner NGOs across India. Ranging from literacy to livelihoods in topics for adolescents to women, these publications are carefully curated by SEEDS experts and typically cost in the range of Rs.30 to Rs.50 making it an affordable item.
